A good friend is going through a tough time and asked me to post this: Sadly, I know too many people to whom this applies. I tried to begin to put up the tree today and couldn't get the strength mentally to do it. I changed the curtains and began to clear away the area for the tree but I just couldn't do it. After the curtains were put up and the star lights hung - I stopped in my tracks and sat down and just went down memory lane...All I can say is it wasn't pretty. I think I cried for over an hour with memories of what this time used to be for me and how it was filled with such love and anticipation - and now it brings back memories of the reality of emptiness and sadness. So I would like to remind you that there are people for whatever reason are not looking forward to Christmas. Some people are not surrounded by large wonderful families. Some of us have problems during the holidays and are overcome with great sadness when we remember the loved ones who are not with us any longer. For many it is their first Christmas without a particular loved one and many others lost loved ones at Christmas. And, many people have no one to spend these times with and are besieged by loneliness. We all need caring, loving thoughts right now. If I don't see your name, I'll understand. I ask my friends wherever you might be, to kindly post this status for one hour to give a moment of support to all those who have family problems, health struggles, job issues, worries of any kind and just need to know that someone cares. Sending Christmas love and prayers to everyone!
OK, everyone! The old website was a train wreck, and in flash player. The new one is HTML friendly. Please check out www.denisonucc.org , although the mobile version still has some glitches. Please do help us restore our building so that our ministry may continue!
We are strengthening our faith, fellowship, and service to fulfill God's purpose in our neighborhood. This is our new 3-D logo, representing faith (shown by the red cross, our personal relationship with God), fellowship/community (shown by the blue cross, our relationships with one another), and service (shown by the green cross, our relationships with the rest of the world).

Looking forward to Diomary Pellot's preaching and leading the service tomorrow (Sunday)! And to hearing the kids who will be singing!
Thanks to Rev. Doug from St. Paul's UCC for the donation of a new-to-us copier! It's B&W, runs great, and DOES 2-SIDED COPYING!!!! If you've never done manual back-to-back copying, you won't be able to understand why this is so thrilling!
